A man is under fire for refusing to let his children eat his wife’s food.
He shared the incident on Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum. He and his wife have two children. His wife owns a bakery and takes care of the house, children and chores.
When he came home from work one day, dinner was already made. He started to put the food on the plates and saw that the chicken “looked a little pink”.
His wife told him it was fine.
“I told her I’m not letting them eat this if it’s pink, she told me to stop being a baby and it won’t kill them,” he wrote. “I kept telling her it’s pink in the middle that they shouldn’t eat, they could get food poisoning and it’s dangerous.”
She told him to cook for them if he wouldn’t serve them her food. So he made sandwiches with cheese and ham for the children.
“She told me she won’t talk to me if I think she cooks horribly. I don’t think it’s terrible, I just didn’t want our kids to eat that,’ he explained.
People felt that the man handled the situation badly.
“Dude. Put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stop being such a drama queen,” one person commented.
“Why didn’t you just put the chicken back in the oven?” one user asked.
“YTA for making this overly complicated,” another wrote.
