

The Monroe County Library System offers activities for children during the Christmas holidays.
• A Christmas holiday grab bag is available at the Summerfield-Petersburg and Maybee branches. The bag contains activities and assignments that children can make at home.
• A Boxing Day pick-up package can be requested through the Carleton branch. The kit includes a craft, recipes and a history of Boxing Day, which is celebrated on December 26. Stock is limited. For a kit, call the branch at 734-654-2180.
• Three Christmas Holiday Programs have been established by the LS Navarre Branch Library, 113 E. Second St. All sessions are held from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
“Create Play Snow” is scheduled for December 27.
“Make Your Own Snow Globe” will be held on December 28.
“Winter Wonderland Art” is scheduled for December 29.

• On December 27, a Lego Challenge will take place at the Ellis Library & Reference Center, 3700 S. Custer Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“If you love Lego, you won’t want to miss this program full of fun and wacky building challenges,” says the library.
• On December 28, there will be a Giant Twister & Board Game Café in Ellis from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Snacks are provided. A variety of games will be available, including a giant Twister board.
• On December 29, there will be a New Year’s Eve party in Ellis from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A family-friendly party, stories, games and crafts are planned. Visit bit.ly/elliswinter to enroll in the Ellis programs.
