BGFD, Toys for Tots delivers Christmas morning toys to children

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Christmas morning was made brighter for kids in Bowling Green thanks to Sgt. Claus, the Bowling Green Fire Department and the Marines.

The group woke up early at Christmas to deliver bags of toys to 250 children living in Bowling Green housing authority.

It is an annual tradition for the BGFD and Toys for Tots, who collect toys for children in our area throughout the season.

“Donations received in Warren County, along with dedicated volunteers bagging the toys, also contributed greatly to fulfilling the mission of Every Child Deserves a Christmas,” Janel Doyle told WBKO News.

Doyle said, “Mission accomplished,” as she thanked everyone who donated toys, made a financial donation, or volunteered during this holiday season.

“Toys for Tots is extremely grateful to everyone who made Christmas possible for thousands of children!”
