DENVER, Dec. 20, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — With the holiday season a time of plenty for many, there are still 1 in 7 Colorado children who aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. CE Shop Foundation is proud to feed children and families in need in the Denver area.

Donations to The CE Shop Foundation go to Food For Thought Denver, a non-profit organization that distributes backpacks of weekend food to children in need at 76 schools in the Denver area.

Food For Thought Denver estimates that $5 is enough to feed a family of four for a weekend.

In the years since The CE Shop Foundation was founded by Michael McAllister, founder and board member of The CE Shop, the amount of money raised to feed families in need has increased every year. It grossed $6,856 in 2014 and nearly $400,000 in 2022.

“I like to visually illustrate the impact of our donors’ generosity. 60,000 children are the equivalent of more than 750 yellow buses full of primary school children rolling down the road, and it is because of all those who support our cause that these children are fed, says MacAllister.

The CE Shop chose to support this cause because, as a leading provider of online vocational education, its employees believe that school-aged children should be able to focus on learning rather than worrying about where their next meal will come from. The CE Shop Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The donations of the CE Shop Foundation come from the employees of The CE Shop, who can choose to give via deduction from their wages; are students, who can donate when purchasing real estate courses during checkout, and generous members of the local community.
